2025 In Retrospect

Alas! The day to review,
2025, a strange year!
Filled with cherished memories though,
Difficult were those times to bear!

As January knocked in,
Travels were planned without the rush.
Paying tributes to Nani,
Lucknow beckoned us.

Celebrating our Fifth,
February took us Malaysia .
Views of a Nanital wedding,
Filled us with immense nostalgia.

March slided in quickly,
Handed an unfavorable job role.
We planned a quick escape,
When things felt out of control.

Cruising through Amazing April AtoZ,
Our world suddenly shook;
Baba’s untimely departure,
Unfurled our grief’s book.

As all days became a blur,
May dragged in real slow.
When Tensions at the border grew,
In the air did terror flow.

June drowned the health,
Plane crash news made anxiety go blind.
Later a ray of hope glimmered,
When few good stars got aligned.

Taking steps to build our world again,
While breathing in and breathing out;
Sariska offered a fresh air,
That was July all about.

August added some colors to life,
While exploring Surat city roads.
Unraveled a few Delhi chapters,
Between numerous emotional unloads.

When festivities dialed in early,
September was a different vibe.
Marked homecoming of the bestie
Emotions weren’t easy to describe.

October tried glittering like diamonds,
With lights all around.
Catching up with old friends,
Minutes of solace were found.

Scrolling and walking, the hunt began,
With November’s winter feels.
Filtering through best and worst,
We locked in some great deals.

Nilgiris breathed in the fresh air,
And peace felt a bit near.
With reunions and slow travel,
December marked an end to this year.

May the next year, O universe!
Be filled with abundance so rare.
Calm mind and peaceful heart,
Is all I want in my prayer!
