Caged

Once who could paint the sky,
Whose wish ruled the world;
Who was once free to fly,
Was now merely a caged bird.

Her ambitions flew so high,
But soon Coin of time flipped;
Her heart gave a helpless sigh,
Her wings were now clipped.

Her desires buried deep down,
With Only Fate to be blamed;
Her smile turned to frown,
When her wishes were tamed.

Everything happens for a reason,
By everyone, she was told;
Day follows after night,
Like summer sunshine after Winter’s cold,
Change in life with a new season,
Was a dream her heart did hold.

My theme is READER’S IMAGINATION: you hear a book’s name and your imagination takes you the world of your own. The world your imagination creates which is totally different than the world which author has created in the book.

Caged – J.A. Belfield

If the meek can become deadly, the strongest can be weak.
For Ethan Holloway, his mission to find a missing werewolf should be simple. Crack a few heads, bust a few chops and the solution always reveals itself. Always.
Not this time.
Ethan’s reputation precedes him, and because it does, someone is ready. Waiting.
What awaits Ethan is a fight not only for his reputation, but also his pack, his female, and his life. Even Ethan’s not sure he’s strong enough to take on an entire race all by himself.Caged (Holloway Pack #3)

  1. Beautifully written. The wheel of fortune keeps turning. Sometimes we’re up, sometimes we’re down.

  2. It’s so sad when the wishes are tamed, we lose a bit of our soul with it. Lovely poem.
