Whispers Of My Home

Panting room to room,
I searched for a prized possession
Faintly I hear…
O My lady, sit for a while
To find that wandering smile

Dusting corner to corner
Turning things squeaky clean
Caught a murmur..
O My Lady, rest a little
And let out a breathing ripple

Anxious about the arrival of guestsย
I looked around for perfection
Gingerly I hear a whisper…
O My Lady, daresay you to laugh out loud
Throwing away that worrisome cloud

Quietly penned down in my journal
A list of small wins this week
Heard a soft cheer…
O My lady, I love your happy dance
Like you won a game of chance

Overwhelmed I tick off the lists
Like running the unknown race
A mumble I almost miss..
O My Lady, blow away the rush
With the small strokes of brush

Staring far beyond oblivion
Overthinking drowns me deep
Tender voice I listen…
O My Lady, Untangle your thoughtsย
Letting go of the dangers you foughtย

“If My Home Could Talk” was one of the prompt for Blogchatter Half Marathon. It reminded me of the tagline of a famous home paints company, “Har ghar kuch kehta hai“.

What do you think, your home wants to say to you?

This blog is sprinting its way to the finish line with Piyushโ€™s Plotters as part of The Blogchatter Half Marathon!
