Salute to Moms!
This post is written as a SALUTE to the ‘Spirit of Sacrifice’ that every Mother holds. Five sentences are just not enough to say what a mother means to a child and what all she can do for her child but still a try at a short story that tries to say it all.

He took the card from the child’s hand which he had made for the occasion of Mother’s Day.
“Dad, Everyone has mom to love them but why don’t I have one to love me?” asked the kid innocently, his eyes searching for the answer.
He knew he won’t be able to avoid this question for long.
“Aryan, you are special, so you have two Grandmoms instead of a mom”, said Arjun, trying to bring a smile on his five-year-old son’s face.
How do I explain him that his mother chose his life over hers because ‘Mother’-the word in itself means sacrifice, he thought.

How beautiful. This brought tears to my eyes. Telling the child is an impossible task.
Heart warming. It’s so sad where many children are deprived of mothers’ love and so well written. It touched the heart.
Thanks Vishal. My heart goes out to them!
A heart-touching piece. The brevity in your words convey a world of emotions. My first visit to your blog is a treat.
