The Lost Smile
Gloomily in the corner I sit,
Killing time bit by bit.
Going through this phase,
Without a smile on the face.
Blank stare out of the window,
Little stars in darkness they glow.
I get up to walk a mile,
In search of a faded smile.
I have so much to say,
But no words make way.
This silence no one can hear,
That smile is nowhere near.
To everyone it’s just a plea,
Just buy me some glee.
Help me once in a while,
To find the lost smile.

“Buy me some glee” is never good. Walk until you find it – better. Give someone else happiness – best. Is this you today? Do something to make someone else smile! It will help your smiles return. Hugs!

Ouch! It’s easy to not understand those silences and unspoken words. Often those are far scarier. A sad poem, yes, but written well 🙂
