The Lost Smile

Gloomily in the corner I sit,
Killing time bit by bit.
Going through this phase,
Without a smile on the face.

Blank stare out of the window,
Little stars in darkness they glow.
I get up to walk a mile,
In search of a faded smile.

I have so much to say,
But no words make way.
This silence no one can hear,
That smile is nowhere near.

To everyone it’s just a plea,
Just buy me some glee.
Help me once in a while,
To find the lost smile.

  1. well get up and do something that you have been wanting to do for a long time and I am sure the smile will come back …

all the best and take care .. a bit sad but nice poem

  2. it is important to find that smile…and thank goodness for those in our lives that do help us to find them…we all need a little help from our friends…
    welcome to poetry jam…smiles.

  3. It is a hard thing when one loses the smile. Maybe the walk a mile can help. Or maybe poetry can help the words find their way out. Nice to meet you.

  4. “Buy me some glee” is never good. Walk until you find it – better. Give someone else happiness – best. Is this you today? Do something to make someone else smile! It will help your smiles return. Hugs!

  5. Arey just hop over to our group 🙂 We’ve smiles growing there in abundance 🙂

Jokes apart, nice poem. Simple, beautiful and yet so deep!

    1. Oh You’re absolutely right! No one returns without a smile from the group! 😀

Thank you so much for appreciation! 🙂
